RAYMOND CHAN

Raymond Chan is a seasoned Government Relations and Strategic Communications professional with over 15 years of experience spanning the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He currently serves as Public Affairs Manager at the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) in Ontario.

Before joining the RHRA, Raymond worked as an advisor a federal Member of Parliament and held senior roles within political offices in the City of Toronto, including the office of the Deputy Mayor and Council Speaker. His experience working closely with elected officials has given him a deep understanding of Canada’s three levels of government and how to effectively navigate them.

Raymond has also held key roles at the Electrical Safety Authority of Ontario and the Canadian Automobile Association, where he was instrumental in developing and promoting road safety initiatives. As the lead media spokesperson, he frequently represented the organization, advocating for increased infrastructure investments and stronger protections for the traveling public.

A trusted advisor to many, Raymond is a passionate advocate for transparency and consumer rights, firmly believing in the crucial role of regulation in protecting society’s most vulnerable members.

Raymond holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a post-graduate diploma in Corporate Communications from Humber College.
